Civic, at least anywhere where cars rust. God DAMN those rear subframes on the Foci get bad. I have worked on some so bad you couldnt pull the subframe nor anything off it for fear you break a bolt you can't get out.

Florida, so not a concern. I told my coworker I was going to go look a really nice poverty spec Civic for $3500 today and he was blown away that a 20 year old car would cost that much and told me I should get a $1500 CL Focus beater.

I bought a 2000 ZX3 with 150k-ish miles on it for $1420 and it was awesome. I had a blast with that stupid little car.

the old Civics have all been beat to hell at this point and cost way too much in the used market. So why not get something 10 years newer with just as much aftermarket support?

I found a really nice EG, guy is asking $3500. I'd honestly prefer the Civic, I like the way it looks better and I have a bad taste of early '00s FoMoCo after owning a 2000 Mustang. I just wanted to know if I was crazy or not.
